You Want Green Energy: Okay, But Then No Plastic, Concrete, Steel, Nitrogen, hundreds, likely thousands of kind of appliances, perfumes, soaps, detergents, textiles, toiletries, car interiors, ...

One medium-sized tomato requires four tablespoons of diesel. Meaning no diesel, then no vegetables. Our high share and the scale of our dependence on fossil carbon make any rapid substitutions impossible. The technologies for effecting this replacement are at best in their infancy, and will require multiple decades of further research and development before they can replace fossil fuels.

So … You Want Green Energy: Okay, But Then No Plastic, Concrete, Steel, Nitrogen, hundreds, likely thousands of kind of appliances, perfumes, soaps, detergents, textiles, toiletries, car interiors, electronics, luggage, tires, agrochemicals, bottles, food additives, food packages, construction, insulation, solar panels, wind turbines!

To replace fossil with green energy, it's not enough to replace them with energy generating entities like wind and solar energy. They also need to find ways to replace medicines, plastic, concrete, steel, nitrogen, hundreds, likely thousands of kind of appliances, perfumes, soaps, detergents, textiles, toiletries, car interiors, electronics, luggage, tires, agrochemicals, bottles, food additives, food packages, construction, insulation, solar panels, wind turbines, and many other hundreds of products relying on or produced from fossil carbon. To avoid malnutrition, famine, and economical collapse, there must be replacements developed for those entities as well.

So much for net-zero carbon by 2050.

• The green energy craze is nothing else than an exercise in denying common sense. Those intellect challenged individuals need to leave and shut up, because they really don't know what they are talking about.

• And then we have the people who have common sense, but they use mainly dirty politics and greed to get rich by the phony green energy hype. Those people are causing untold damage and a waste of resources and influencing government policies all over the world, which only results in defaults.

Lemmings

• And the last, but not the least, we've the mindless masses, who hardly are able to think, they like to repeat others and follow them to devastation. I call them the lemmings.

Those mindless sheep or lemmings don't realize (I don't think that they have received any type of good education in their lives) that improvements in growing and producing food-stuffs that have lifted billions of people out of malnutrition and famine. Nitrogen fertilizers have increased crop yields and productivity per unit of land.

With the net-zero carbon by 2050 (or even earlier), we'll see the return of the malnutrition and famine for billions of people.

And I'm afraid that reality is going to bite us all in the behind with the disasters in the coming months. One thing might be a blessing in the coming misery, the green energy will be dumped by misery like hunger, except we'll have nice Victory Gardens.

Why don't those greens come up with something far more amusing? Like, in 50 years, we all live on Pluto or something. Or in one year all the loonies and greens are locked up in institutions. Now, that's funny and not dangerous for society and our existence.
