Terror Trends and Social Hostilities

What ever the heap is what the media and many so called 'terror and security specialists' may claim, they didn't do their homework correctly and didn't look at statistics. In order to build a correct as possible opinion about the problem of terror, everyone needs to have a good idea what's exactly going on in the world. Reading and studying media is not the answer, because their sources are suspect and not correct, accurate or they are simply opinions and uses data incorrect or they interpret data according their preference. The only way to do that is to read the statistics, because those numbers give a certain objective detail. How you like to interpret that data is up for every individual. You are free to link or relate all the data here with UFOs if you like.

Terror attacks are on the decline from August 2015

With the last terror attacks in Mali, Paris, the downing of the Russian airliner in Egypt, the terror attack in Beirut, and many (false) terror alarms all over the world and the supposingly strong evidence of terror attacks in Belgium, the whole world seems to assume that the number of attacks is sharply on the rise. This is not the case at all.

Number of dead and wounded because of terror in 2015 As you can see on the graph, there is an decline of terror attacks since August 2015. The main reason for the strong decline is the decreased number of attacks from Boko Haram and related terror groups in Africa. The terror attacks coming from Middle Eastern Islamic extremist groups continue as normal. There is no proof that the Russian presence in the Syrian conflict has any influence in the number of attacks, but what it really proofs is the increased number of dead and wounded.

Terror as a cheap, but effective weapon of war

Terror attacks is a common weapon along the terrorist groups in the world. For example, look at the countries currently in war, part I, and part II and you see the relation between their state of war and the number of terror attacks in those countries. But there is one thing almost all of them have in common: Islamic extremism. There is one exception. It's the terror supported policies from all kind of nations in the world. For example, many terror activities are activity supported by Iran. The terror related activities in Syria are supported by the various Gulf States, Iran, various European states and the US. They think that they can fight terror and terrorist organizations by creating (and supporting) new terrorist organizations, which supposingly must fight the target terrorist organization, with mixed results. There is no statistical data to support this claim.

In the Middle East, we see two countries, which peak the number of attacks, and that are Iraq and Syria. In Iraq the situation in terror is much more clear then everywhere else. The majority of the attacks in Iraq are performed by ISIS and the rest is divided in terror between the Sunni and Shia. In Syria the terror is divided between the various terrorist groups (which ISIS is the main one) and the Syrian state (which data is not included in the terror attacks, otherwise that number will be the highest in the world currently).

Targeting terror organizations

There is no specific organization of country, which dominates all the terror attacks. Boko Haram and ISIS are the two organizations, which causes a high number of dead by terror. If those organizations would be removed, that would mean that the terror attacks might be decreased with a certain percentage, but very likely to be restored to previous numbers (or higher) because of the power vacuum those organizations leave behind. As said, terrorism is a common used strategy for all Islamic extremists in the world.

The link between extremism and religious extremism is used today in political and religious sense, but by definition, those are two separate entities. The link between extremism and Islamic extremism are also two separate entities, but there is a link between Islamic, Christian and Judaic extremism and religious extremism, because Islam, Christianity and Judaism are religions.

1. Extremism within Islam goes back to the 7th century to the Kharijites. From their essentially political position, they developed extreme doctrines that set them apart from both mainstream Sunni and Shia Muslims. The Kharijites were particularly noted for adopting a radical approach to Takfir, whereby they declared other Muslims to be unbelievers and therefore deemed them worthy of death.

2. Christianity knows also extremism. The start of Christian fanatic rule came with the Roman Emperor Constantine I as Catholicism. J. Harold Ellens says, "When Christianity came to power in the empire of Constantine, it proceeded almost to viciously repress all non-Christians and all Christians who did not line up with official Orthodox ideology, policy, and practice"

3. Judaism also knows extremism. After the Six-Day War and the capture of the West Bank, a territory referred to in Jewish terms as Judea and Samaria, right-wing components of the Religious Zionist movement integrated nationalist revindication and evolved into Neo-Zionism. Their ideology revolves around three pillars: the Land of Israel, the People of Israel and the Torah of Israel.

But today, Christianity and Judaism don't use terror as a means. Islam, in the form of Islamic extremism, is clearly using terror as a tool. Hinduism, Buddhism and Folk religion also know forms of extremism and they also use terror as a tool. The relationship between National IQ and religion It's proven that there is a link between between national average IQ and religion. Countries, which are dominantly religious, have a lower national average in IQ (below 92) then countries, which are not (source).

Relationship between religion and economy The richer a nation is, the less likely its inhabitants to call themselves "religious", whatever this may mean to them. There are more differences between religious and nor religious groups, communities and/or countries.

Religions and Countries

There is a surprising list with countries, which has very high social hostilities against persons involving any form of religion (they experience often discrimination and/or (religious-rooted) violence).

There is a relationship between the restrictions (by countries) of religions per region in the world. For example, in country X in the Middle East, they forbid the Christian and/or Judaic religion.

But, what's more interesting are the social hostilities per region in the world. In the Middle East, the problems and hostilities are extreme compared with the rest of the world. Relating the hostilities with the number of attacks is dangerous, because lack of relevant data.

In Europe, the situation is not much better of course. When we look at the real reasons for hostilities by the Europeans, this is the results:

Dear reader, I don't know if you already noticed the direction of this document, but there is a certain purpose of the subjects. I personally think that there is a relationship between terror attacks worldwide, the existence and interpretation of religion and the relationship between economy, IQ and religion.

For example, when the Palestinian President Abbas is publicly announcing to his people to perform terror attacks against people in Israel, and Palestinians (women, children and men) go into Israel with a knife, having the intention to murder or wound or main anyone, I must question their intelligence. Poverty in Gaza and West Bank is not low enough to drive people in desperation. Neither the lack of Palestinian authority in the West Bank.

The detailed list at that site about all the attacks can be found here. There are not many real sources of registration of terror details in the world.
