Iran

Iran is the second-largest nation in the Middle East and the 18th-largest in the world; with 78.4 million people living there. Iran is home to one of the world's oldest civilizations , beginning with the formation of the Proto-Elamite and Elamite kingdom in 3200–2800 BC.

Following a coup d'état instigated by the UK and the US in 1953, Iran gradually became autocratic. Growing dissent against foreign influence and political repression culminated in the Iranian Revolution, which led to the establishment of an Islamic republic on 1 April 1979.

In 1984, the US designated Iran as state sponsor for terrorism number one in the world. Iran sees terror sponsoring as an extension of the Islamic revolution, so most of the Islamic terrorism is supported by Iran.

In 2010, Iran was involved in terror in 20 countries. Iran invested in 2011-2014 more then one billion dollars in arming militias in south Lebanon. Iran spent hundreds of millions of dollars in arming terror groups like Hamas with advanced weapons, like rockets.

Further, Iran invested in 2013-2014 enormous resources in funds, weapons, training, and men in Syria, to keep the embattled Syrian President Assad in power, together with Russia.

Furthermore Iran flooded Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen with thousands of military specialists, advisers and soldiers to fight between different Islamic extremist groups.

Further Iran is busy to develop the atomic bomb. They of course deny this. But they also develop rockets for short, medium and long distances, enough to reach the US. At the same time, Iran is pressured by the international community to stop the development. Note the word 'development', and the missing word 'research'. They bought the knowledge to make their atomic bomb from Pakistan and north Korea.

The international pressure is accompanied by negotiations with America under leadership of Obama. Iran is delaying and developing, and Obama is still trying to talk.

The Iranian atomic bomb will give the Iranians a big boost and strategically they will be the dominating force in the Middle East. Their willingness to use such terrible weapon is high and the risk of atomic war is high too.
