This statement is from a post-apocalyptic novel called “Those Who Remain” by the author G. Michael Hopf and I truly agree with him, including the (rapidly approaching) apocalypse. When you look at the history of men, that's exactly what's happens every single time. It's like a never ending circle when a civilization flourishes, it plunges into a mess caused by weak and corrupt men, resulting in hard times.
